Zack Snyder Reveals Batmobile and — More Importantly — Batman

Zack Snyder Reveals Batmobile and — More Importantly — Batman

Yesterday, Zack Snyder tweeted a picture of the Batmobile from the upcoming Batman vs. Superman (or is it Superman Vs. Batman) movie.

It was more of a glimpse than a full reveal, and today he tweeted a better picture of Batman’s ride, but check out who’s standing next to it.

Behold! Ben Affleck as Batman!

The influences from The Dark Knight Returns are there with the shortened ears on the cowl and less emphasis on the musculature of the body armor.

Could we see more production stills via Leica?

We shall sees!

Official Godzilla Trailer

Official Godzilla Trailer

Godzilla’s trail of mass destruction will hit theaters May 16 — only a few months away.

I’m not sure why they haven’t hyped this movie up more than they have. With a cast of Bryan Cranston, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Ken Watanabe, Elizabeth Olson, and Juliette Binoche — and don’t forget Godzilla — this movie’s shaping up to be something more than your throwaway summer popcorn flick.

In addition to the standard blockbuster elements — a huge budget, lots of special effects, and plenty of carnage — the trailer delivers genuinely tense scenes as well as some origin plotlines that makes one think the filmmakers are approaching this with some vested interest.

Unlike the 1998 Godzilla movie that was more like a movie inspired by Godzilla, this modern incarnation looks to bring the franchise back to its original roots with a few redesigns. Interestingly enough, looking at the trailer’s About section on Youtube, this Godzilla might be more like the Japanese version than most people thought.

An epic rebirth to Toho’s iconic Godzilla, this spectacular adventure, from Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures, pits the world’s most famous monster against malevolent creatures who, bolstered by humanity’s scientific arrogance, threaten our very existence.

If that means Mothra, Ghidra, and perhaps a Mecha-Godzilla for the future, I’m really hoping they get this one right.

(Maybe they shouldn’t bring back Mecha-Godzilla.)

15-Second Teaser Trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy

15-Second Teaser Trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy

The Guardians of the Galaxy trailer is on its way, and it’s set to debut on the Jimmy Kimmel show Tuesday night — you can see it on his YouTube channel soon after.

The 15-second trailer begins with a question — “Who are you?” — before a quick montage of the cast and characters. Fans outside of comics might not be familiar with the team, but after this trailer hits, things may change very quickly.

The James Gunn directed Guardians of the Galaxy movie is set for an August 1, 2014 release date and stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, and Bradley Cooper voicing Rocket Raccoon. The movie is part of Marvel’s phase two which will set up the next Avengers movie coming out in 2015.
